This is part of a show called Epic Encounters and features prints by Jack Teagle, Jenn Woodall, Jake Lawrence, and Ryan Berkley.

Created this piece for my maps class. The assignment was to pick a chapter from the book  “On the Map” and then depict an aspect of its contents. I chose the chapter on Treasure Island and treasure maps in general. There was a passage that stuck with me, describing how most treasure seekers don’t find any treasure on their expeditions. Rather, their experiences and comradery are what make the voyage truly valuable, if they live to see the journey’s end.
